Details
The Mediator is a clip system blaster; it loads clips from the side, rather than the bottom (much like the 2012 N-Strike EliteRampage), and also has the ability to be slam fired.
It has one tactical rail on the top and right side of the blaster. It also has one sling mount on the top of the blaster and another on the end of the handle. On the side where the clip is inserted, is an unjam button.
Official description
Kids can build the Mediator XL blaster with the Nerf Modulus Mediator Series. The series includes a blaster core, barrel, and stock (each sold separately). The Mediator core blaster fires 6 darts in a row with pump-action, clip-fed blasting. The clip loads into the side of the blaster and holds up to 6 Elite darts. Unleash all 6 darts rapidly with slam-fire action. The Mediator blaster has attachments points for the Mediator Barrel and Mediator Stock, so battlers can build the Mediator XL blaster. Side and top tactical rails provide places to add Nerf Modulus accessories for more customizing options. With the full Nerf Modulus system, create over 1000 different combinations! (Barrel, stock, and other accessories each sold separately.)
History
The Mediator was first leaked in summer of 2017. Early prototypes were accidentally released[4]. It was later shown off at the September 2017 Hascon. It had a soft release on Amazon in December of 2017.
Reloading and firing
To reload the Mediator, load the included clip with up to six darts. Load the clip into the side of the blaster. To prime, pull the grip backwards, and push it forwards.
Pull the trigger to fire a dart.
To slam fire, hold the trigger down whilst cycling the priming handle back and forward as quickly as possible.
Trivia
- With the Mediator Barrel and the Mediator Stock equipped, the blaster is known as the Mediator XL.
- The Mediator may have trouble with N-Strike six dart clips, due to the older clip design not used in the modern six dart clip.
